The purpose of continuing your education every couple of years is to ensure that you stay abreast of new trends and findings in the field. At random points in time, radiology techs are audited by the ARRT. They must show that they have been continuing their education.
First, you will need to find out when you will be continuing your education. You will have to take the classes and get the credits before the two year period is up. The period begins on the first day of your birth month and ends two years from then, on the last day of the month before your birth month.
Make sure that the radiology technologist courses you choose are approved by the RCEEM. You will have to retake them before the expiration date - some classes expire a year later after being evaluated. You can obtain credits via the internet or going to a physical school.
Some of the courses that you will have to pick should be in the area that you are practicing in. If there are any courses that you didn't complete before, you should take them. Take classes that are related to the radiology technologist field.
Once you have found the radiology tech courses that you will be taking, you will need to study for the quizzes. You will have to obtain a 75 percent or higher to pass.
