The Clinical Coordinator assists the Program Chair in the administration of the program by developing and/or updating structured clinical criteria that meets the standards of the JRCERT and ARRT. The Coordinator, under the supervision of the Program Chair, coordinates clinical schedules and rotations, mentors clinical instructors and staff technologists, and provides didactic and skills lab instruction as needed. Reviews clinical objectives to ensure they are understood by students and clinical instructors, integrated with academic course material, and accurately applied in the clinical settings. The clinical coordinator monitors student progress in the clinical areas through regular scheduled and unscheduled visits; and intervenes, with the assistance of Program Chair, if clinical objectives are not met. The Clinical Coordinator assists in student recruitment, student advising, program development, program evaluations, acquisition and JRCERT recognition of new clinical sites, and participate in program accreditation. The Clinical Coordinator helps to ensure that the students acquire cognitive, psychomotor, and effective skills needed to function as highly skilled radiographers upon graduation from the program.
Requirements:
The Clinical Coordinator maintains a current knowledge of the accreditation JRCERT STANDARDS, ASRT curriculum, curriculum development, and student supervision, instruction, evaluation, and counseling
Minimum of a baccalaureate degree, master's degree preferred
Valid ARRT Certification and Maryland Board of Physicians License
Four years full-time experience in the professional discipline
One year of full-time experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program
