POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Information Systems RN Educator I (CIS RN Educator I) serves in an entry level trainee role for creating clinical information system education; is responsible for designing educational curricula and training methods based on an evaluation of training needs. The CIS RN Educator I provides ongoing educational support to new and existing hospital staff and physicians.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii. Baccalaureate degree in Clinical Specialty and/or Education is highly desirable.
MINIMUM FIELD-OF-EXPERTISE: Current clinical or teaching experience in acute care setting. Computer proficiency including keyboard, Windows and word processing. Outstanding communication and organizational skills along with a positive attitude. Willing to continually learn.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Previous teaching experience in acute care setting. Previous experience in development of educational programs. Previous experience in use of an electronic medical record.
