WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The purpose of the Dosimetrist\nEducational Assistance Program (the Assistance Program) is to\nprovide education and financial support for individuals participating\nin the Training Program.
1. UMMC OBLIGATIONS
a. Selection: UMMC will\nselect the Students for participation in the Training Program and the\nAssistance Program (the Program). UMMC shall have the right, in its\nsole discretion, to terminate a Student's participation in the\nTraining Program and/or the Assistance Program, at any time, for any\nreason, including, but not limited to, lack of professional demeanor,\nunsatisfactory performance, incompetence or failure to comply with\nrules, regulations, procedures, manuals and standards of practice of\nUMMC (collectively referred to herein as Policies and Procedures) or\nbreach of this Agreement.
b. Employment: Upon graduation from the\nTraining Program, if the Student has satisfied all applicable\nconditions of this Agreement and the Training Program, UMMC will\nprovide employment for the Student as a dosimetrist at UMMC. UMMC\nwill make reasonable efforts to match the Student's preference of\nclinical area, abilities, and practicum experience with UMMC's\nposition availability. Such employment shall be subject to all\napplicable Human Resources Policies and Procedures of UMMC, including,\nbut not limited to, those regarding pre-employment health assessments,\ndiscipline and termination.
c. Availability: If UMMC has no position\navailable for the Student within the two (2) month period following\nthe date of the Student's graduation from the Training Program, UMMC\nwill release the Student from the repayment obligations under this\nAgreement and no repayment from the Student will be required.
WHAT YOU\nNEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
a. Grades and\nPerformance: The Student shall maintain a minimum grade point average\nof 3.0 in the Training Program. Student will successfully complete\nand participate fully in the educational activities of the Training\nProgram. Student will, at all times, comply with all Policies and\nProcedures. Student shall participate and successfully complete UMMC\nrequired training, including, but not limited to, training addressing\nuniversal precautions and infection control practices, safety\npractices, disaster preparation and patient confidentiality.
b.\nGraduation: The Student shall graduate from the Training Program on or\nbefore the graduation date entered above.
c. Hiring QUALIFICATIONS:\nThe Student shall meet all pre-employment qualifications of UMMC,\nincluding, but not limited to, completion of a satisfactory health\nassessment and examination.
d. Employment Start: The Student shall\nbegin employment with UMMC within two (2) months of Student's\ngraduation from the Training Program.
e. Orientation and Probationary\nPeriod: The Student shall attend and complete any orientation required\nby UMMC. The Student shall, in the opinion of UMMC, successfully\ncomplete the 180-day employment probationary period.
f. Employment\nTerm: The Student shall successfully complete, in the opinion of UMMC,\neighteen (18) months of full-time employment as a dosimetrist with\nUMMC after graduating from the Training Program in accordance with the\nterms of this Agreement.
