As an animal nutritionist, you will be working to help keep animals healthy, by creating dietary plans for them. Their role is to promote health traits and growth. They create these dietary plans for specific types of animals, since all animals don't eat the same. They are even required to create plans that are environmentally friendly, such as ensuring that feeding doesn't produce a lot of waste.

Training

To become a nutritionist for animals, you will have to obtain an agriculture undergraduate degree, preferably a bachelor's degree. You will have to have certain skills, including computers, research, patience, fast thinking, great judgment and mathematics.



Settings

As an animal nutritionist, you will be working outdoors with different types of animals. You will be doing research and experimenting as well.
