Lighting
The lighting in the environment of ultrasound techs is usually adjustable. Each ultrasound technician may have their own preferences for how they would like to have the room lit. In most cases, low lighting is needed to have better visuals of the procedure. A dimmer switch is attached to the lighting in the ultrasound room.
Bathrooms
In most cases, the ultrasound room is connected to a restroom, since their patients are required to have a full bladder to have the procedure performed.
Cleanliness in the Ultrasound Room
Keeping the ultrasound room sterilized is important for obvious reasons. Every medical facility is big on cleanliness. The ultrasound exam requires the use of cold sterilized cameras. There are sinks in each room for rinsing off the equipment that is used. Cold sterilization equipment is always kept near the sink.
Exam Table for Patients
When an ultrasound is being given by the technician, it is required that the patient and the tech are comfortable and safe. The patient has to be carefully positioned on the table. The tables are adjustable for positioning purposes.
The Ultrasound Equipment
If you look at the ultrasound machine, you will find that it has a keyboard that lights up for better visual in the dark rooms. Some of the machine parts are mobile and are independent for positioning.
