Dental Jobs description
There are various types of dental jobs like dentist jobs, dental assistant jobs, dental technician jobs, dental sales jobs, dental nurse jobs etc. The most common dental job is that of a dentist, which involves performing all general dentistry procedures. Dentists may be of different types as per their area of specialization such as prosthodontist, periodontist, endodontist, general dentist and so on.The primary responsibility of a dentist is to provide comprehensive dental treatments including restorative treatment, oral surgery, periodontics, endodontics etc. Other important duties include performing various types of routine and emergency procedures, performing radiographic exams as needed, ensuring dental records are accurate and up-to-date and prescribing medication when necessary.
To apply for a dentist job, a candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of dentistry or a graduate of an accredited university with a DDS or DMD degree. A valid state license to practice dentistry is mandatory. Prior clinical dental experience is desirable.
