Medical Writer Jobs description

The medical writer relates to all areas of researching, writing, and editing clinical/statistical reports and study protocols. The medical writer has the responsibility of writing up specific medical research reports, patient information, or other documentation required by pharmaceutical or related companies. The other duties of the medical writer include preparation of documentation for medical communications programs in collaboration with account teams. The medical writer provides project management of writing-only projects. He also has to ensure all documents are well-organized, accurate, consistent, and in compliance with applicable company SOPs. The medical writer also has to interact with personnel from other functional areas and summarize data from clinical studies. He has to provide project management of writing-only projects.

A candidate for medical writer should be in possession of a BA/BS, preferably in the field of (bio-medical) science or in possession of a medical or journalistic PhD. He/she must have excellent writing skills.
