Healthcare Representative Jobs description

A safety representative serves as a consultant in coordinating safety and health programs. A safety representative assists in the development and implementation of the given facility’s health and safety programs relating to wellness, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, etc. A safety representative coordinates and maintains a safety audit program and audits hot work, confined space, and other permits. A safety representative advises production teams on health issues in pre-job planning and hazard control. A safety representative develops, implements, and maintains related programs such as the loss control program. A safety representative develops, reviews, and revises health and safety policies, procedures, programs, and handbooks. A safety representative guides and develops the facility’s safety awareness program. A safety representative develops and delivers general and specialized training for regulatory and topic-specific training. A safety representative supports industrial hygiene and health activities via monitoring/testing, safety inspections and auditing, reporting, and documentation. A safety representative identifies, assesses, and recommends actions related to health, safety, and emergency response issues. A safety representative also provides health and safety regulatory support.

A safety representative position requires a bachelor’s degree in a safety- or a health-related field. A safety representative should have three years of direct experience in safety and occupational health work. A safety representative should have computer proficiency with Excel, Word, and Power Point. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also required.
