Description
Position Summary: Ski Patrollers are responsible for the safety of guests on the slopes and for helping injured people within the ski area boundary. Patrollers are expected to be able to respond to all emergencies (i.e. trauma, medical, lift, environmental) under extreme conditions (i.e. rain, snow, high winds, freezing temperatures).
 
Essential Functions:

Provide Basic Life Support within the scope of our EMS policies
Provide transport for patients
Monitor the ski area for hazards and mitigate them
Assist the guests and provide an enjoyable atmosphere for them
Works in conditions that involve exposure to unusual elements and extreme temperatures
Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

Qualifications

Current EMT Certification
Excellent Skiing ability (Snowboarding is allowed but skiing is preferred due to the snow conditions and slope)
Climbing Experience or rope rescue training preferred
Must be in good physical condition. Not only should they be able to ski all day on any part of the hill but also they may end up shoveling off the top of the lift towers for hours during a blizzard at 7,500\u2019 elevation.
Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 lbs.
Must be available to work flexible hours
