In this role located in our downtown Outpatient Rehab Clinic you will provide optimal health and physical functioning to patients by identifying, alleviating and preventing movement dysfunction.  Some responsibilities include: Provide clinical treatment to patients including evaluation and diagnosis, direct treatment, family/caregiver training, and counseling patients and family members regarding status, prognosis, goals and progress; Coordinate patient care with the rehabilitation team including medical staff nurses, and physicians; coordinate patient care with non-medical staff rehabilitation team members including families, educators, early intervention agency staff and community support service agency staff; Refer patients and family members to other professionals, agencies, and resources as appropriate and maintains and builds on current clinical knowledge and skills by attending continuing education activities.With numerous awards and distinctions, including our recognition as Top Hospital of the Decade by The Leapfrog Group, Virginia Mason has transformed health care through our innovations in patient safety and our ability to provide patients in our community with easier access to our high-quality care. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physical Therapy.
6 Month Clinical Internship.
WA State Department of Health Physical Therapist Licensure.
CPR Certification.
Staff Level II - Minimum of 1 year work experience as a Physical Therapist.
Staff Level II - FTE status of 0.5 or greater. 
Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, wound healing, and disease progression; an understanding of the base components, both physical and cognitive, of ADLs (assisted daily living) and levels of ADL independence; the ability to customize, adapt, and graduate to a home or work site environment or to adapt to a given treatment plan and equipment; and excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
