POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide clinical support to our homeless, housing unstable, Substance Use, and Recovery client in our Safe Haven and Serenity drop-in Centers. Clinician will also provide clinical support to clients out in the community. The individual will connect clients to higher levels of care, conduct assessments, consult with proper resources for emergency situations and provide education about mental health and substance use to staff. Ensure program adherence to all relevant licensing, funding, and accreditation standards. Participate in ongoing training and participation in any agency-wide efforts. Preference to bi-lingual/multi-lingual individuals.

· Meet with clients at Safe Haven, Serenity and the Community

· Conduct comprehensive Biopsychosocial assessment

· Consult with Emergency Services for support with at-risk clients and involuntary hospitalizations, as needed

· Connect individuals with higher levels of care - triage, detox, inpatient, and residential treatment.

· Educate staff about mental health and substance use issues, providing skills for supporting clients and improving their coping

· Assist with de-escalation of clients

· Connect clients with the SH, IHH team

· Provide individual counseling to clients

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:

Required Certification: LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, or Master’s level 

LCPD.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Services are provided via the Safe Haven and Serenity Drop-In Centers as well as out in the community. Full time position Monday-Friday. Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Must be flexible and able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
