Credentialing Coordinator, Medical Staff Services','Full-time','Administrative/Clerical','8am','8am','80','80','Occasional','Occasional','KENTUCKY-LEXINGTON-SAINT JOSEPH HOSPITAL','','!*!Position Summary:  The Credentials Coordinator will facilitate
all credentialing functions to include credentialing and recredentialing for
all physicians and allied health professionals in collaboration with the Lead
Credentials Coordinator.  This position
processes all pre-applications requests, provisional reviews of all new
physicians within 12 months of appointment, and periodic review of all
delineation of privilege forms. The Credentials Coordinator assists the
Director in coordination of all medical staff activities to include assistance
with management of meetings as needed. This position is expected to have a
clear working knowledge of the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules & Regulations,
TJC Standards, and regulatory agencies. It is critical that this position
advise the Director of any problems with physicians, non-physicians,
credentials files or application process. 
The Credentials position requires extensive follow-up post monthly
Credentials Committee meetings and maintains the medical staff database to
ensure the upmost integrity of the system.','!*!Requirements:    Degree in business or health related field
desired.  Previous experience in a
medical staff services administrative position required. Excellent
interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate professionally, both
verbally and in writing.  Experience with
Microsoft Word, Excel and Website applications. 
Willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule as needed.  CPCS 
and/or CPMSM certification by the National Association Medical Staff
Services is required upon eligibility. 
Affiliation with the National Association Medical Staff Services and/or
the Kentucky Association Medical Staff Servies is strongly encouraged.
