Responsibilities

Ascension St. John is looking for a Advanced Practice Provider to join our Cardiovascular Surgery Team!

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide medical services to patients at St. John Medical Center located in Tulsa, OK.

Dedicated surgeon support in surgery, inpatient and outpatient clinic

Competitive benefits

Acute licensure required

Medical surgical, cardiology or ICU clinical experience preferred

Vein harvesting experience beneficial

Responsibilities:

Obtains patient history and performs assessment. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures.

Provides and documents direct treatment and management of health conditions.

Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.

Requirements

Required Credential(s):

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.• Licensed Physician Assistant with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.

• Advanced Life Support.

Education:

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.

• Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

• 1 year of experience preferred.
