Health is currently seeking a full time nurse navigator for the KentuckyOne
Cancer Screening Programs.
Nurse
navigation services are critical to the success of comprehensive
multi-disciplinary cancer screening programs. KentuckyOne Health has numerous
established cancer prevention programs throughout the Commonwealth.
As a leader in cancer prevention, KentuckyOne Health is expanding services
in accordance with recent recommendations from the United States Preventive
Services Task Force (USPSTF), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS),
the American Cancer Society (ACS), the American College of Radiology (ACR),
American College of Surgery (ACS), the American College of Obstetrics and
Gynecology (ACOG), and others.
The
cancer screening program nurse navigator will work directly with KentuckyOne
Health Cancer Prevention Services to ensure that the national best practice
standards are met or exceeded. The nurse navigator will act as a
liaison between the referring clinicians, the multi-disciplinary teams, and the
patients in a virtual clinic model to ensure timely reporting of
findings and to coordinate scheduling of additional services. The nurse
navigator will also be responsible for registry data entry and compliance.
In addition, the nurse navigator will present appropriate patients at the
regional multi-disciplinary conferences and ensure proper communication of
recommendations to referring providers. The nurse navigator will
also assist in the development and implementation of specialty-specific
diagnostic programs housed within the Cancer Prevention Services “virtual
clinic”. Secondary duties will include the
planning of and/or participation in community outreach events and continuing
medical education events.

Bachelors of Science in Nursing required.
Required Experience: Prefer
five years of experience in a community health setting, oncology, medical/surgical
specialty, and/or diagnostic/interventional radiology.
Licensure: Must
have a current RN license to practice in the state of Kentucky.
Skills: Must be
a self starter who works well with others; must have excellent reasoning
ability and great communication skills; must excel in customer service. Computer and database proficiency is
required.
