ICU Jobs description
The ICU Specialist or the Intensive Care Unit Specialist provides high quality clinical services as part of the ICU Department. ICU Specialists ensure active participation in patient safety, audit, research and service planning. They also provide expert clinical services for the Intensive Care Unit within the Clinical Services Capability Framework for the facility, and within the clinical privileges formally granted to the ICU specialist from time to time. The ICU specialist fosters the promotion of international standards of excellence in the provision of clinical and public health services. He also provides expert consultancy/advisory services as required to both internal and external agencies that are relevant to the health industry.The ICU candidate should be well-trained in medical procedures related to the intensive care unit. He should at least hold a medical degree specializing in biology or related discipline.
