Medical Firm Adds Jobs and Attracts Others to Area

Ventana Medical Systems is making strides in the development of its new 17-acre medical facility expansion, but the tissue-diagnostics company isn’t the only business setting up shop in Tucson, Arizona. Two others firms have followed suit, including French drugmaker Sanofi-Aventis, which is building its facility next door to the Ventana headquarters, as well as the tech firm Integrated Biomolecule Corporation. This is great employment news for the area as new jobs will be created. Currently Ventana has around 900 employees working at its headquarters. According to company spokeswoman Alana Bolter, Ventana plans to fill up 165 positions in the coming months.
