PICU Jobs description
The PICU Specialist or the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Specialist provides high quality clinical services as part of the PICU Department. PICU Specialists ensure active participation in child safety, patient audit, medical research, and service planning. They also provide expert clinical services for the Intensive Care Unit within the Clinical Services Capability Framework for the facility, and within the clinical privileges formally granted to the PICU specialist from time to time. The PICU specialist fosters the promotion of international standards of excellence in the provision of clinical and public health services. He also provides expert consultancy/advisory services as required to both internal and external agencies that are relevant to the child health.The PICU candidate should be well-trained in medical procedures related to the intensive care unit for children. He should at least hold a medical degree specializing in biology or related discipline, with related experience too.
