Healthcare Director Jobs description
A director job in a healthcare setting involves responsibility for all aspects of patient care as well as supervising the day-to-day care and clinical operations of a facility. A director supervises the implementation and coordination of all patient care and nursing services at a facility.A director mentors and leads all nursing and care staff, and supervises all programs implemented by the facility. In partnership with the human resources department, a director also assists in hiring, training, disciplining and terminating employees. Other important duties include participating in the budgeting process, ensuring maintenance of all records in accordance with policy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and communicating and coordinating with family members regarding patient care.
To apply for a director job, a bachelor's degree in healthcare, nursing or related field is required. Previous healthcare management and clinical experience is a plus. Other prerequisites of the job are effective multi-tasking, computer, communication and time management skills.
