Manager Jobs description

A healthcare manager manages medical research projects. Managers also lead research teams, ensure budget performance, and supervise, train, and mentor clinical research staff. Approving investigator studies and contracts is also part of the job of a manager. Other important duties of a manager include reviewing and approving monthly client invoices, case report forms (CRFs), generate study data, regulatory and administrative documents from investigator sites, and serious adverse event (SAE) reports; monitoring trip reports; and developing protocols. Managers also prepare reports for clients and handle project personnel matters.
Managers train medical associates to monitor procedures and also on project management procedures. Planning and coordinating investigators meetings and participating in proposal meetings with potential clients are also among the major duties of a manager.

To obtain a manager job, one needs to have a bachelor's degree in medicine or healthcare or be a registered nurse. Those with B. Pharm degrees are ideally suited for manager jobs. Experience with clinical research, data management, or regulatory affairs are also valuable. If a person is a registered nurse, then having at least two years of experience in medical research projects as well as a bachelor's degree is considered ideal for a manager job.
