Healthcare Coordinator Jobs description
A coordinator job in a healthcare setting involves coordinating healthcare and well being of patients in various settings like homes, assisted living centers, senior living communities etc. A coordinator is responsible for overall leadership and health management of assigned patients.The important aspects and responsibilities of a coordinator job are effective patient care, monitoring and managing medication programs, performing management duties when required, ensuring regulatory compliance, and participating in discharge planning and care coordination along with physicians and other members of the healthcare team. A coordinator also reports to and assists the department director in day-to-day operations.
To apply for a coordinator job, a bachelor's degree in healthcare or a nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing is required. Current state license as a professional Registered Nurse (RN) is important. Prior nursing management experience is desirable. Other prerequisites of the job are good communication, interpersonal, customer service, computer and organizational skills.
