Full-time Youth Advocate

needed for Girls Group Home located in Milford, DE. Primary responsibility of this position is advocacy for adolescents with trauma histories, who are in group care. The Youth Advocate regularly collaborates with our teens in care regarding their needs, and collaborates with Division of Family Services, CASAs, therapists, schools and others on behalf of them. Duties will include completing a variety of reports and developing plans; maintaining extensive contact with DFS, CASA's, GAL's, therapists, schools, families and other community partners; participating in consultations and court hearings; and scheduling appointments and other related tasks to promote growth and development of youth.

This position requires a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or related field and at least one year of full-time experience working with people who have experienced significant trauma. Advocacy experience is preferred. Good communication skills (written and oral) and organizational skills are required. This position will require some weekend and evening hours and on-call responsibility. This position reports to the Program Director. Please send a cover letter and resume to People's Place II, Inc.
